Breast Cancer & Post-Surgery Bra Fitting

Specialist bra fitting for your body, your needs and your next chapter

Whether you've had surgery, reconstruction, radiotherapy, are using a breast prosthesis, or have simply noticed that your shape and comfort needs are different, finding the right bra can make a real difference.

At The BRAologist, you can have a private, one-to-one fitting with someone who has specialist training in bra fitting after breast cancer.

The BRAologist is fully accredited and a Cancer Research UK endorsed post-breast-cancer bra fitting specialist via the Better Bras After Breast Cancer Bra Fitting Academy, run in collaboration with Cancer Research UK.

My aim is to give you the expertise, time and choice to find bras that make you feel comfortable, supported and confident.

Specialist support for a changing body

After breast cancer treatment, you may notice changes to your breast shape, size, symmetry or sensitivity.

You might be looking for:

  • a bra that works with a breast prosthesis
  • extra comfort following surgery
  • support for a changed breast shape
  • a solution for different breast sizes
  • softer or non-wired options
  • a better fit following reconstruction
  • something that works with sensitive skin or surgical changes
  • a beautiful everyday bra that makes you feel like yourself again

There isn't one solution that works for everyone.

Your body is individual, so your bra should be too.

That's where specialist fitting can make such a difference.

A fitting that's all about you

At The BRAologist, your appointment is private and completely one-to-one.

  • We'll start with a conversation about what you're looking for and what has changed for you.

  • You don't need to know your bra size.

  • You don't need to know which type of bra you need.

  • And you don't need to have all the answers before you arrive.

That's what I'm here for.

I fit by eye rather than using a tape measure, looking at how your body and the bra work together.

We'll explore different options and consider the things that matter to you – whether that's comfort, support, shape, style, a prosthesis, symmetry or simply finding something you love wearing.

There's time to try things, ask questions and see what works.

If you're using a breast prosthesis

A breast prosthesis can introduce another consideration when choosing a bra.

There are bras designed to accommodate prostheses securely, but not every person will need or want a specialist prosthesis bra.

During your fitting, we can look at what works for you and explore suitable options based on your prosthesis, breast shape, comfort and personal preferences.

The goal is a bra that feels secure, comfortable and natural to you.

If your breasts are different sizes or shapes

Changes in breast size and shape are common following treatment, and symmetry isn't a requirement for a great bra fit.

We can look at the way different cup shapes, constructions and styles work with your individual proportions.

The aim isn't to make your body fit the bra.

It's to find the bra that works with your body.
